Garlic Parmesan Rolls

Garlic Parmesan Rolls

Dinner rolls, garlic and parmesan cheese have to be one of the best combinations. These remind me of the bread knots from one of my favorite pizza places, only better, as these are much softer.

Ingredients

Rolls

  • 2 envelopes active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 5 cups Bisquick
  • 1 egg

Toppings

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup melted butter, salted
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup dried greens

Instructions

  • Dissolve two packets of yeast plus one tablespoon of sugar in warm water.
  • In a saucepan, over medium heat, stir one and one-quarter cups of buttermilk, six tablespoons of sugar and one-quarter cup of butter until lukewarm.
  • Add the egg to the yeast mixture and stir until well blended. Combine the yeast mixture, milk mixture, and five cups of Bisquick. Stir to combine.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for fifteen minutes.
  • Transfer the dough to the bowl of a stand mixer and knead for five minutes, using the dough hook.
  • On a light Bisquick floured surface, roll out the dough and divide it into twenty-four equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball, cover and let rise for thirty minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to three hundred and fifty degrees.
  • Prepare the parmesan and garlic butter by combining six cloves of minced garlic and one-half cup of melted butter. Brush the surface of each roll with the butter mixture and top with parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for twenty-five minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle dry greens and done!
