Cheesy Beer Pizza Dough

Call me biased, but I love this pizza dough recipe. The beer gives it an extra yeasty taste, without being overpowering.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm beer
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup old cheddar cheese
  • 3 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cups Bisquick

Instructions
 

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, using the dough hook attachment, mix one cup of warm beer, two tablespoons of parmesan cheese, three tablespoons of instant yeast, one teaspoon of black pepper, and two teaspoons of garlic powder.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for approximately twenty minutes, or until it becomes foamy looking.
  • Stir in two table spoons of olive oil.
  • Mix in three cups of Bisquick on medium speed until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  • Add one-half cup of old shredded cheese and continue mixing for five minutes.
  • Place the dough in a large lightly greased bowl and let rise for thirty minutes, covered with a clean towel.
  • Punch down the dough and separate into three equal pieces.
  • Roll out the dough to be used for making pizzas and freeze any remaining.
