Chocolate Bisquick Waffles And Peanut Butter Filling

Chocolate Bisquick Waffles And Peanut Butter Filling

I absolutely love chocolate mixed with peanut butter. Whenever my kids ask me to pick up ice cream at the store, I always look for chocolate peanut butter and hide it underneath the frozen vegetables. These waffles are delicious, but unfortunately, I can’t hide these in the freezer as they never last long enough.

Ingredients

Waffles

  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocos powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 3 large egs
  • 6 tbsp melted, cooled butter
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp salt

Filling

  • 6 ounces softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup peanut butter (use regular peanut butter)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Waffles

  • In a large bowl mix two cups of Bisquick, one cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and one-half teaspoon of baking soda.
  • In another bowl, beat three large eggs with the six tablespoons of melted, cooled butter.
  • Stir in two cups of buttermilk, two teaspoons of vanilla, and one-quarter teaspoon of salt and mix until blended.
  • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry and stir together without over mixing.
  • Preheat the waffle maker and cook each one until done. Prepare the peanut butter filling while the waffles are cooling.

Filling

  • Combine the six ounces of cream cheese with one-half cup of peanut butter using an electric mixer.
  • Add the four cups of powdered sugar, (one cup at a time) four tablespoons of milk, and one tea spoon of vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  • Spread the filling in between two waffles and enjoy. (I like to add sliced bananas on top of the filling).
