Bisquick Casserole with Sausage

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Sausage (preferably pork)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup Bell pepper (chopped)
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 3 tbsp Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Salt & Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Cook sausage in a sizable pan, breaking it up as it cooks with a wooden spoon.
  • Use a potato masher to break up the meat very finely.
  • Drain the fat after cookingthe sausage.
  • Add the cooked sausage, onion, and pepper to the pan. Cook for another minute.
  • Mix the Bisquick, milk, eggs and half of the cheese together by whisking in a sizable mixing dish.
  • Pour the Bisquick mixture to the meat and vegetables in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes with no cover or until the rims are golden and the middle is almost set.
  • Add the remaining cheese just before you're prepared to remove it from the oven.
  • Remove the casserole from the oven and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing it.
  • Serve warm. You can add parsley or green onions as garnish.
